Randa Fouad, President of AMFED, contributed a section to the 2008 Egypt Human Development Report (EHDR) on the role of media in development. The background paper “The Role of the Media in Supporting Civil Society Organizations” covered the situation of the media in Egypt in terms of the challenges it faces; its contribution towards development; and its role in social responsibility and supporting civil society organizations.
